headers and heat

Will the close proximity of my headers to the tranny cause the oil to get messed up. 84 Grand Prix with a 334 stroker- flowtech headers.

Probably not. If they're actually touching, that can transfer significant heat. As long as there's an "air gap", you're okay. It's still a good idea to insulate the headers with a "wrap" or something. Be sure it's made for automotive exhaust systems.
