Post headlight switch

how do i find out where to wirer my tach into my headlight switch or where can i wirer it so it lights?

Depends on your headlight switch, but follow the wires from your panels lights or other gauge lights to the switch ... see which terminal they are on and wire there.

You might also look at your headlight switch for codes like PNL to see which terminal is for PANEL lights.

What year make and model is your car?

Chevy 71, are you working with your 71 Chevy? If so, does it have the origional wiring? Again, if so, there should be a connector in the dash wiring circuit that you can plug your tach light wiring into. If not, you could splice into any of the wires going to lighted instruments or accessories.
