Headliner coming apart at the seams, Help?
My 62 Galaxie still has the original headliner in it and mice packed it full of wheat which split the seam. The rest of the stitching is very fragile and starting to come apart. Is there something that I can put on the seams temparily to stop them from coming apart?

About all I can think of is tape it up for now..just save it for a pattern when you get around to replacing it..

Its time to be replaced,I have restiched headliners before but none of the holes for the sunvisors,domelights and coat hooks will line up again. Jeff

Unioncreek: You can try a hot glue gun, or hand stitch it with a small curved needle. The thread is probably cotton and has deteriorated. Don't try to make a headliner when you can buy one for your car for $150 on the 'net. Websites like Kanter, etc.
