The windlace is attached first, and the headliner retainers bump up to the windlace. There should be a headliner retainer strip that screws into the area above the doors and rear windows. The headliner is tucked up under those strips which have teeth to hold the cloth in place. Look at this thread and you will see what I mean. This car is a '55 Town Sedan. The interior was done with fabric original to the car.
No one lives forever, the trick is creating something that will.
