354434.....75-79...262/267/305...60cc chambers
These are small port heads, why anyone bothered to install big valves in them was kind of pointless since the ports are so small, if the chambers haven`t been deshrouded they`ll be even worse. I see lots of these on Ebay listed as "high velocity" heads, this is true, since the small cubic inch small blocks needed high velocity to generate enough torque to move the vehicle around, but on a larger small block, they`ll give explosive power out of the hole, but dead players past 4000 RPM. these heads with the big valves on a small cubic inch engine like listed above, the valve will hit the bore. so the set backs are listed above, also beware they are light casted, don`t run them hot. |
