heads 408 sbc

can u run heads on a 408 with out drilling them on the street

Ayuh,... Any heads without steam holes on any 400 Chevy block will cause Problems...

You can get away with it if you're drag racing, where the revs are up all the time to wash out the pockets of steam. If low r's most of the time, like a street driver, you're in trouble without the steam holes.
