Approximate horsepower is 250 HP depending on how it is equipped.
They are the same heads on the 285 HP motor. So it depends on the intake, headers, it could be a good replacement motor.

Ya, because I plan on doing a build-up with one. Putting a cam intake heads flat tops headers and porting the heads. What do you think I can pull with that setup?

272 Comp Cam
Holly Intake
Holly 650cfm DP
9:1 CR
Headers
Ported Heads.

Should be over 350 eh? whats your gustemation?

since you seem entirely obsessed with HP, it's 335 @ 5500 RPM

those heads kill the combo really, you want 2.02 and 1.60 valves with that cam, and higher compression, like 10:1

with sportsman IIs and 9.5:1 cr you get 366@5500
with AirFlow Research heads and 10:1 you get 387@5500
