Heads for my 84' stroked 383???
I am currently looking for some heads for this engine. I was think of spending around 300-400. What heads will fit off over vehicles. Or could i find a after market for that price? What about aluminum head off of a corvette. In in the Detroit, Mich area if ne1 has heads for sale.

Any small block chevy head made before '86 will bolt on.
With your budget you're pretty much stuck with factory GM castings. Stay away from those aluminum 'vette heads. They have funky intake bolt angles on the two center holes and the intakes are more expensive, not to mention that the combustion chambers are too small for pump gas unless you have dished pistons. These guys might be able to help you out with a performance oriented stock head within your budget. http://www.aeroheadracing.com/id7.html Larry |
