Which heads to use

Hey all i am thinking about these 2 set of heads head set #1 is a s/r torquer hydraulic flat tappet cam with 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves 76cc chamber volume or should i go with the head set #2 S/R torquer hydraulic roller cam with 1.94 intake and 1.500 exhaust valves 58cc chamber volume.

These are going on a 1989 chevy camaro 305 tbi..

also is there any way for me to tell what gearing i have in my rear end ?

the first set of heads are out, the big valves will hit the bore of the 305, and the big chambers will cut compression down to about the 6:1 ratio. the second set of heads are better suited with the small chambers, but you`d may want to measure to make sure the valves will clear the bores. get the code off your rear, it will be on the front axle tube on the passengers side, then go to your local parts store, the code will be in the haynes manual on F body`s, it will tell you if it`s a posi or open and what the ratio is.

World makes a 305 Torquer head which has 1.94 intake valves & 58cc chamber. The valves are set closer together so the intakes will clear the bore.
