I had a case of vapor lock the other day...lucky me, I was far away from home and it was late. next day I spent the day rerouting fuel lines away from heat sources. I think I did a fairly good job of it, then when I was going to bed I realized something...one of my pipes runs within 1-3" of the front fuel tank. Duh. Got a fuel heater there don't I? So I'm wondering if I can affix some aluminum flashing or something to the tank wall to deflect the heat, and if this would be sufficient. Thoughts on how to accomplish this (cheaply- I just dumped a fair wad of cash on the rebuild)? thanks!
(yes, an inline electric backup pump is in the plans)
