Heat Sink Trans Coolers

Hello,
Has anyone tried one of the heatsink type trans coolers. I don't have alot of room to play with and was wondering how they worked compared to a normal one.

Where mine is

Sorry for the poor photo - better are on film rather than digital

This is a 24 inch Specialty Cooler on the outside of the frame rail under the splash shield of a full fendered '31A. The lines are AN-4. I will probably install an air baffle to direct more air across the surface. Don't know how it works yet as the body is waiting paint (if it ever cools down and the humidity gets bearable)
