Heater / AC Controls

I have a 95, C/K1500, 5.7L, Silverado.

The comfort control right knob that controls the vent, vent heat, heat defrost, defrost will not blend the air flow.

Its stuck in the vent position.

How do you go about finding the problem with this?

The knobs are spinning fine I don’t hear any vents shut like I use to it just stays in vent mode.

There is a vacuum hose on the firewall that has cracked or come loose. I wish I could be more specific, but that was what the mechanic told me after he fixed mine for $2.00.

Let's not, since the original question was from 2003, so I assume he's fixed the truck by now...

Didn't notice that. The truck might be junked by now.
