Heathkit WB???

Anyone ever heard of a Heathkit wideband-like tool called a CI-1080 exhaust gas analyzer? How does it work? I've never heard of one, but my boss has and he wants to tune a '62 Vette with one. How accurate are these things? Anyone have one for sale?

Your not likely to get any info, as Heathkit has been out of the "kit" business for going on 30+ years. I have a Heathkit timing light that I built in 1965 that still works. I also had a Heathkit shortwave radio that I built when I was in high school, but sold it to a buddy.

Not quite 30 years but getting close, I did my last heatkit around 87-89 or so .

they made good product, but be aware if you can not get the build book you will not be able to adjust or trim the device , that is a must for accuracy.
The heatkits were a kit for the home builder that was a complete box of parts that were assembled by the end user.
Most kits require that end user to adjust the units hi an low parameters / tolerances and without the instructions you are toast ..
