Heating question.

Ok this isnt for a hot rod its just somehtign i dont knwo how to fix and need to get fixed. Ok my girlfreind has a 1996 mercury cougar. Now the problem is the heater wont really work. Like she'll turn it on full blast and it will barely blow. it does a very little bit but not like it should be doing. So i wanna know whats wrong if anyone knows. Is It a fuse?. the blower?. is it going to be expensive to fix?. if it is a fuse how is it possible to tell if its blown?

I have had to replace the blower motors in my 94 & 97 Birds.
I have the auto climate in both of them, if the brushes get weak or worn in THIS system that could happen

Not too hard to fix---remove glove box and there it is.
Same blower for both the auto and manual systems.

If the blower is spinning okay-----check for this

PLASTIC BAG GETTING SUCKED UP INTO THE INTAKE

Happened to me

All in all---not too bad to repair----about $40 at Auto Zone/PepBoys/ etc.

Also, you may want to check your vacuum lines to your heater to see if your vents are opening properly, if you listen to the fan and it sounds like it is running good but still no air this can be the vents are closed.
