Heavy duty vs Regular Duty
I just don't know which spring will be best.
These two springs are out of a 4L60E Superior Shift Reprogramming Kit. (see pictures)
Heavy Duty and Regular Duty is all the info I have.
Can anyone give me some comparison in shift characteristics in the two?
98 Chevy K1500
It's no hot rod but I would like it to tow occasionally.
Has anyone used one of these in a similar set up?
I'd go with the Firmer HD Accumulator spring for firmer 1-2 shift. On the 3-4 I wouldn't, don't use 4th gear when Towing unless the Trans is upgraded for it.
Wide Band & extra, better 3-4 clutches.
use the regular on the 1-2 use washers to bring the 3-4 flush with the pin with the plate drilled and pressure regulator spring it will shift firm at heay throttle stock tires on a vortec will bark on the 1-2 at wot but it will be comforable at part throttle use a corvette piston and a .500 boost valve

That sounds like the kind of ride I'm looking for.
So josh, how would the heavy spring change with the other upgrades in mind?
Will it just make the tires chirp at half throttle too?

the heavier the spring the harder it hits if it hits to hard youll break planetary gears abd or band anchors
