HEI Big Cap to Small Cap

Hi Hotrodders,

I have a TPI system from a 1986 Camaro that came with the big cap HEI computer-controlled-advance distributor. The big cap is one of those that has screws(not the L-hooks) holding down the cap to the distributor. One of the screws is seized and broken off.

This system is going on a Small Chevy that is being swapped into a Jaguar XJ-S. I see this as an opportunity to go ahead and change to the small cap distributor considering the additional clearance I can get with the small cap distributor.

I have read that the connections are different between big cap and small cap distributors. I have heard that there are adapters available to make this swap work. I am asking the group for a source on these adapters and any other things I should be on the lookout for on making this change.

Thanks in advance,

Ericbr
