I recently put a SBC 337 on the road. It ran for about 150miles and died with various issues. (minor teething problems) The one that bugs me is I have a 8364/5 MSD ignition module which I have run successfully for months, I decided to upgrade the coil to the recommended 8225, solid rotor button, Accel 25ohm wires. It started right up and drove fine for ~150miles and then died with no spark(I think). Is my selection of parts not appropriate for the street in terms of compatibility, longevity, or am I just unlucky?
I will swap in a stock coil, carbon button, stock module sequentially tomorrow and try and nail it down...it just picks me. You spend all kinds of time and money on fitment and decent parts and then something like this leaves you stranded on the side of the road (nothing a John Deere won't fix)
