HEI mallory dist ??????

well im putting a mallory dist in my t bucket when checking the coil pack wires there is not a black ground wire just a red and a yellow that make up the 4 male prongs that go thru cap but the three wire plug from dist has the ground wire but where it clips into cap there would be no prong i noticed its the same on my accel coil pack but on all of my oem dist coils there is a ground that goes under one of the screws and wire drops thru center ground position ? the question is first do i need to tear cover from coil pack ( as it doesnt seem to come apart on mallory or the accel ) and take one from one of my origanal coil s or am i just nuts well any help would be appreciated as i dont wanna hook up and start till i know what im doing lol

I would install it the way the Mallory instructions say.

would only love to but bought it on ebay great deal but no instructions so im asking here so thanks was hopeing some one with knowledge with these could help me

I do not have a answer ... but I moving this to the electrical section. Hopefully ... someone there will have the correct answer .

thanks well i went to mallory site looked it up from what i can see in there pics looks like it came with a grond that went in cap no wire all solid just wraps around to hole so i think i have it fig out i pulled the grond off one of the oem coils gonna try it hopefully its right ill post when running gotta put in the wire harness should be a day or two
