Welcome to the site -
Of course we will need in process photos as well

Guess that the 10" wheel/tire combo will have to go

im kinda on the fence with this but ive been toying with trying to make a sleeper out of it and keep it looking as stock as possible with the exception of maybe running dual 10" wheels in the back for traction the car sits so low you wouldnt even notice the challenge would be getting the gear ratio correct the engine and trans i have sitting around is a aluminum head 347 and c4 trans
.
and the other part of me wants to chop it and put monster wheels and tires on it and a full cage sorry for the bad pic but here's the engine I want to use at the bottom http://i921.photobucket.com/albums/a...t/IMG_0125.jpg

it seems that most everyone I talk to about installing a v8 in this mini is of the opinion that I would be ruining it to do this

Not their problem - it's your car to do what you want with it If it was mine, I probably would save the 347 and maybe find something like a V6 SHO or engine from a 'Bird/Mustang Turbo Coupe which would be a bit easier.......but we'll enjoy every minute (as long as you post pictures ) of your V8 install.

Yes a v6 would be a more balance build but I don't have one sitting around.
Haha I guess it's a good thing I don't have a big block sitting around

Thing is, to put a v8 and most likely a v6 in a Mini, you would have to convert it to rear wheel drive. Basically, all you would be using of the original car is the body shell.......all new frame. new suspension, the works.........Why not save this great little car and find just a body that you can use.....cut it up all you want......

Just because you have something laying around and its free, that doesn't mean its the best route to take.......Just my opinion....like said, its your car, but I guarantee if you cut that up, you will be sorry
