Hello to all of You.

I am new to this site, but a long time fan of all things drag racing and hot rod related, from the Kustom Kemps of the 40's and 50's to the T/F rides of today, but with a special affection for all things MoPar,and what is now called nostalgia drag racing.I was a kid during the 'Golden Years',when a guy or a couple of buddies could actually field a seriously competitive machine on what they made at a good job,and maybe even win! I do miss those days.
Over the years,I've built a few hot rods and a couple of corner burners, nothing serious, but now in my 'golden years' I am working on what will likely be my last effort- a 6-71 blown 392 rear engined A100 dodge oickup, ala the Little Red Wagon, but with modern updates I think will make it a more engineered ride without sacrificing the period flavor.Yeah,to get closer to the LRW, I'd use a 426,but I'd like to do it the way somebody without the factory connections would have. The goal is to get it in the 9's at around 150 when properly ballasted, and yank the fronts and hold 'em when not. One last big grin before my time comes!
Anyway, that's me in a nutshell- I look forward to learning a lot from you all, asking questions when possible, and most likely taking some shots now and then for my automotive preferences. You don't get to be an old guy,and an old MoPar guy at that without developing a thick hide,so have at it.
So thanks for having me,hope to be able to add to the mix as well as benefit from it. 392A100
