Hello, My name is George. I'm From detroit Michigan. Married with children, 4 of them all grown, 3 out of the nest. I am 52 years old, am a journeyman fitter/ welder with the united steel workers. My intrests are anything with 4 wheels. Currently I have way to many cars, My two main projects are a 1959 Impala Sport Coupe, and a 1956 Oldsmobile 88 Flower car. Everyday drivers are 1998 Sonata, 1990 Geo Tracker, I have 6 other trackers, A 1980 Ford F-350 Dually welding rig. and a 1987 S-10 Blazer 2 Dr. Thanks for having me George; P.S. Welcome to the broard. It's nice when new members introduce themselves. Looks like you've got a few cool cars, I look forward to seeing the pictures, especially of the 59 Impala, I'm currently trying to get the original owner of two rust free 60 Impalas to sell one to me.

A 56 Olds Flower Car! Now THAT'S one you don't see everyday!

As a matter of fact, how many guys on here even know what a Flower Car IS?????

Being from Detroit do you make it to the Woodward Dream Cruise?

I don't know what a flower car is. I'll guess and say it was made for the use of florists.

The Olds is the only one I have found like it to date! Thanks for the welcome! P.S. Don't get to the Woodward Dream Cruise, just to many people. But I do get to the Downriver Dream Cruise every year, just like Woodward but alot easier to get to'

Hey Chickie; Thanks for the warm welcome. I have stuff parked all over the place, My yard, Neighbors garage, a couple fo friends shops. In my introduction I forgot all about my 85 and 89 Mustangs . Man I got too much s~~t. Thanks for the cold beer and I'll try not to trip. George;

Oooooohhhh! That's a flower car. Now I know what your talking about. Rather an unusual hauler but not everyone has one. Cool! The kid down the street from me has the body hauler to it. Him and my boys have a blast in it.

Thanks for the pic, Now that I know exactly what they look like. I've only see one other flower car before, it was a 69 Cadillac. That Olds must be extremely rare.

As far as I can tell on the net and after talking to as many coach builders as i can, it is the only one ever built on an Olds platrorm in 1956!
