Hello - Help - Stolen Car - REWARD

Hello Everyone

I have been looking at this site for awhile now and have decided to stop lurking and become a member, So Hello

I did read the rules so I will not post a business contact. That is not the reason I joined here. I do need to post a contact e-mail though if the moderators will let me.

Please allow me to explain.

We are all "Car Guys" or we would not be here. I hope we can all agree to that. Yes, I know there are some ladies, but you understand.

A friend has had a car stolen and that should bother all us us. This was not a normal daily grocery getter. If that was the case, let the insurance companies take care of it. This one is different. I have posted this on a few other websites and hope all of you will also post it on as many other car sites as you are members of.

Yes, there is a REWARD. We will pay the reward, we really want this car back. Please help us get the word out to everyone you know to help us keep a look out for it. It is a unique car and with enough people looking for it we should be able to find it.

Here are the details:

Stolen – REWARD
This car was stolen in Dallas, Texas on September 29, 2008.

The car is described as a 1963 Chevy Nova “Gasser”
It is a Nostalgia Gasser straight axle (chrome front axle)
383 stroker
Demon carburetor
Powerglide Transmission
Fuel cell
Optima battery
Crager mags
Nostalgia decals on rear windows
Green tech tag on lower driver side roll bar.

There is a $5,000.00 REWARD for information that directly leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons that are responsible for this Grand Theft.

Please post this information on all car related websites that you are a member of and send it to everyone on your email list, and ask that everyone who receives the email from you do the same.

As “Car Guys” we need to all band together and find these perpetrators and bring them to justice. We all love this hobby and now is the time to stand as one and show these thief’s we are not going to tolerate this nonsense any longer.

If you have any questions you may contact us at the E-mail addresses listed below, or contact your local Police Department.

EDITED: To remove links to Myspace page of the video of the car at the track.

Help us find these criminals.

Thank You for letting me use this forum. I will post regularly and not just for this. I have built several cars and have even had one on the cover of Kit Car Magazine in November of 2001.

Hope you guys find the car. I'll keep my eyes peeled but I'm in North Arkansas so I doubt we'll see it up here. Good luck!

Hey thanks Dave,

The car was stolen IN the trailer in the picture. The trailer was found about six hours later very close to a truck stop. So they may have changed trailers to get it out of town.

We are not sure if the car is still in Texas so that is why we want everyone all over to keep an eye out for it.

Thanks

Steve

Stolen Flyer

I have made a flyer that can be printed and handed out or posted somewhere.

It is in MS Word format.

If anyone wants one just E-mail or PM me and I will get you a copy.

We all need to stick together when this sort of crap happens. It is one thing to steal a grocery getter, but this is different.

Hi,
That is just sickening, & what's worse is they were no doubt
watching your friend & his habits & planned this whole thing
& have taken the car apart but this time, you might want to
check auto parts sales in neighboring areas as well as speed
shops, I have serious doubts about anything showing up around here but will keep a lookout.
Best of luck on finding the car & maybe getting to prosecute the thieves also,
Rich
PS Stealing is stealing regardless if it's a grocery getter or not
stealing & depriving someone of there right to own something
is absolutely unacceptable that grocery getter may be all that person can afford.

Richard,
That's true. I don't wish anyone to have a car stolen. I really didn't mean for it to sound the way it did.

The car is so unique it will turn up sooner or later. We just hope its sooner.

Like you I believe someone was watching. From the way it was stolen and how they went about it, they knew what they were doing.

Thanks for the assistance in relocating the thread.

Of better assistance will be when that car gets found and returned to it's owner. Hopefully somebody will know somebody who's seen it.

In a while, Chet.

Chet,

That is true. From what I am hearing there are many nostalga races this wekend all over the country. The car is bound to turn up somewhere.

I am getting many replies from people that will help us look for the car. I want to thank you all and I will keep everyone informed right here.

NOTE to moderators.
Why would my post count be zero? Not that it matters too much, just curious.

Thanks,

We want to keep this fresh in everyone's mind.

Remember I have a flyer if anyone wants one to post or distribute. It is in MS Word format.

I have yet to figure out how to send it by way of a PM. but if you PM me and give me your email I will send it to you.

No spam, I promise, this is really about getting the car back.
