One issue you'll need is to determine valve lash on your engine's solid lifter setup. If you were using hydraulics the lash are all the same, but solids require different lash from manufacturer's specs. The old Duntov 30-30 was set as the name indicates, .030" lash intake/exhaust.
Some mfg. spec similar clearances, but some spec less. Most don't spec more than .030" clearance. Most modern Comp Cams are .022" lash. You could get somewhere around that lash and hope it's close enough.
