help

Hi this is Brandon. i have a 1977 ford with a 390. i just put a 204 214 cam in it. and a 1406 carb. and at high rpm it cuts out i put new jets.092 in p and .089 in s. and springs are a 7. timed it played with the air fuel cant get it to run right can you help?

Welcome to the site, You need to post this in the engine section, You will get better responses there then in the interior section.
Have you checked to make sure it's not cross wired? and you could have a vacuum leak also. JMO

no vacuum leak i have replaced everything what do you mean cross wired

Make sure it has the plug wires in the right order.

How high of an rpm are you talking about? That's a small cam and carb. in an engine not made for high rpm's.

You're sure it's a carb-sputter, and not an ignition miss?

runs good if you push the gas slow but if you push hard like your pulling a hill or racing it bogs down and pops throw the carb its rebuilt and tuned up

What the fuel pressure at the carb? How do the plugs look?

My car was sputtering whenever i jumped on it and i put an inline fuel pressure gauge. 3.5-4.5psi! I put a carter pump and holley regulator wala 5.5psi! All fixed

Also whats the timing at. Initial and mechanical. Is the vacuum advance ported or full manifold?

timing is at 14 at an idle vacuum advance was ported but is not hooked up right now because it wont run at all with it. i had it checked and its good but over advance when its plugged in they told me to find out whats wrong then fix that.
