HELP! 302 efi

HI, sorry if i have only just joined the forum and already asking for help, but i have a ford 302 efi from a 1987 car and i`ve taken off all the bits i dont need just leaving the waterpump and the alternator so i can fit an edelbrock 600 sec vac performer carb and performer inlet, the thing thats worrying me is do i have to change the waterpump and timeing cover or can i still use these?.......thank you in advance guys for any help that you can give me.....TOADY

Using a serpentine belt requires a reverse rotation waterpump, which I believe the '87 has. The only dif in the timing covers are mechanical fuel pump or not and the hole for the dipstick.

The serpentine setup requires an idler pulley for belt tension. A V belt setup does not.

None of this has any influence on the manifold or carb you choose.
