help

Hey im working on a 1990 ford mustang, and right now am working on putting my subs in, except I want to make them stick out, and make them something that people are going to love. I love going to the car shows and seeing, the show cars that have the fiber glass boxes, with the curves that pop out, and all the pretty stuff, however I don't know how to do this, so I was wondering if anyone could run me through the process of making the custom box step by step, and maybe with some pics. Thanks

Check out The 12 volt.com They are another forum, but they have a lot of posts on fiberglass. If you do a search through their forum, I am sure you will find what you need.

fiberglass made easy

Check out Kriskustom's post on building dash gauges. This should give you a general idea of the process used. If you use plywood rings in the size of your speakers with spacers under them, then stretch the fabric over the entire box, this will achieve the look that you are after. Try playing around with different configurations for the box, and see what you can come up with.

Post pics when you get it.

It is a 1990 hatchback LX, and I am putting in a 302 here soon, so I am looking forward to it.

Sounds cool. I was thinking of making a custom woofer box that goes in the way back in that curved area that would cover up the taillight wiring and stuff. This is partly because the plastic interior piece that went there is lost .
