lets not upset the guy.

i think you should learn to build something milder. tune it . take it to the track. see what its all about.

taking a small displacement 289 and looking for 9.9x is silly. thinking that a 289 would be better than somehting larger is also kind of silly. if you want to go fast buy the bigest motor that will fit. even if its not 9's, you wont tbe disppointed.

Scroll down, there's a 67 galaxie in that race pack.

Sits 4200lbs on the curb with a LOT of aluminum on it.

390 motor, edelbrock RPM heads, intake, cam, hooker supercomps, 3.50 gear. We're talking about 3 grand worth of upgrades to this motor...

and he's running a BEST of 4 runs at: 15.14 at 92.32 mph

You're compairing apples and oranges. My point is that a guy who's got about 150 horse and 100 cubes on the old 289 under your hood in the same car is struggling to break out of the 15 second mark.

We may not all agree on some things but for the most part we all get along but this is a little overboard...?

GalaxieRoller... Take the hint(s) and do the right thing and sit back and listen you tend to learn more...? Also when you speak try to make it worth listening to...? You`ll get more flys with honey than with vinigar...

I vote lock and dump this thread. It serves no technical purpose to leave it in the engine forum. Dump all his pointless threads and eventually he will go away.

Correct me if I am wrong, but as a new member, he cannot view the dump anyway, right?
