help with block identification

I bought a project race car. The guy I got it from did'nt know much about it, he said he thought it had a 350 with a glide. I ran the heads "3917291" and block "3970010". The block came back as 350 or 302. What other marks can I look for to be shure what block I have? Thanks Joe.

there should be a casting number on the crankshaft. look that up and you'll have your answer.

The back of the engine where the tranny mounts up it says what size engine, and on the sides of the block it has it too. hard to see unless the block is clean though.

I looked you numbers up here. I have had good luck with the info here. It says your block is 327 or 350. Your heads are 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust or could be 1.94/1.50, very nice production heads.

Thanks for the replies. I was expecting a 350, just when my book said it could also be a 302, I got to wondering. Lata Joe.
