hello guys i performed a rust removal but i screwed up so i'm trying to get help advise on what to do. I removed an area of rust from the left apillar and apex where the roof and apillar meet. I uncovered some rust on the undersupport area but went ahead and welded the new section of panel in without prepping the area. well after some consideration i have comtemplated cutting the section out and removing the rusty apillar support and replacing it. but i have friends that suggest that i use a siphon hose and spray por15 from the underside and forget about cutting the panel thats already welded in. they reason that the por15 will work great. what do you guys think.

roland, I see you have already done a lot of work. The por15 is used on bare or rusty metal. I see that you've primed the rust, so the por will not work.
That narrows your choices down to either cut it all out and start over or let it eat and fix it later if you have problems with it. I say let it eat. .
BTW the patch looks good. Did you make it from scratch or get it from a donor?

well i guess i will let eat then replace a pillar later but that does bother me it really erks me man i had the patch off i should have just done it when i have the patch off but couldn't wait man that sucks. Oh i didnt know that por15 would not work over primer, man that really sucks well thanks for the info. that patch is from a donor car.

Question, did you weld it solid or only every inch or so.
