Help on Chevy Oil Filter Mount?

I am stumped....I have a 350 SBC...casting #3970010..so '69-79 vintage.

What seems like a simple part I can't seem to find it....I am looking for the filter mount...I think it may be called a sandwich adapter...bolts directly to the block...has the bypass valve in it (in case the filter gets plugged...and the mount for a spin on type filter.

Not looking for anything special...just a stock assembly.....anybody help me out?

You can find your oil filter adapter at jegs.com or a cheaper one at speedwaymotors.com or do like I do and get an even cheaper one at the wrecking yard

I have looked there and summitracing.com...but all I can find is the spin on filter mount...and nothing on the original bypass valve that goes between the mount and the block itself.

The spin on adapter is available at any Chevrolet dealer. Cost is around $15-20. I don't know of any other adapter that mounts between the block and the spin on adapter.

i am looking at your adapter in jeg's gata. now under perma-cool part#771-01135,,,$19.99 and it eliminates the by pass but you can go to any junk yard and get one off a block thats out of the car or in the car for a couple of dollars.most people after performance do block off the by pass.it lets unfiltered oil go throygh at start up.just make sure you change your filter regularly.
