help with crank id

Hey guys, first post!
Anyways, I have recently acquired a crankshaft for a sbc. I was told it is an aftermarket unit to build a 383. it has standard size journals but im trying to figure out exactly who made it. It has no casting numbers anywhere. I have cleaned and thoroughly inspected for them.
It has May 10 1996, what appears to be 2A57(could be 2457) on the middle cw. and has HM or WH on the front cw. that's it. it is a 2 piece seal if that helps. theres nothing else on it. I would like to know before I order a bunch of parts I will end up not being able to use. Thanks.

When you take it to have a machine shop check it out, they can measure the stroke. Then it doesn't matter what brand name it is.Also they will tell you if it is forged or cast.

ya thats what im gonna do. i just wanted to know who made it. i got it and a freshly machined 4 bolt block for a steal. i do know its a 3.75 stroke because i mocked it up with an old 350 rod/piston and it came out the deck. no worries, i was just curious.

Have you had any luck on the identification?
I came over a 383 project but i don't know what brand the stroker kit is.
The crank, rod, pistons and damper were already mounted and are supposed to be balanced together.
Unfotunatly the guy who started this build died about 10 yeas ago and had all info on tiny paper notes that are long lost. Howerver people who knew him all say he was very seious with this build so i don't think it's anything wrong with it.

However i would like to know what i'm dealing with so i know how much power it can handle and so on.

I found the same WH or HM marking on the crank. It also have May 10 1996 on it, and 1721 but that is stamped.
It also has a marking that says THT on it.
The rods looks stock, and the pistons are flat tops.

I would be interested in this too. I bought crank new in 1992 from an ad in the newspaper. Stamped with WH, ??-THT, CK383C and DEC20 1991. The guy I bought it from seemed to know all about it but after 21 yrs I forget what he said. Crank is still unused and I'd like to build a 383 for my truck.
