Help deciding on new sbc heads

I have a 1972 C10 truck with a 350 sbc and it was over-bored when I got it. I do some occasional towing now and then. The engine runs really good, but I want more power than the stock heads can provide. Would like 9.5 compression if possible. Maybe a different cam too! Any ideas for heads and cam?

Here are the specs:

350 sbc - Over-bored .060
Edelbrock 600 cfm carb
Stock 882 heads - with 1-5/8" headers
Weiand Action-Plus Intake
Crane Energizer 278/278 Cam, 467 lift, with matching lifters
Hei ignition with Accel super coil & Bosch Platinum plugs
3.08 rearend soon to be 3.73

i second roger. with the price of them, it would cost no more than rebuilding your 882's which are marginal at best. i rebuilt a set and it cost about $450 with all new springs and valves. a new pair of vortecs is about a hunna mo
