Has anybody ever built a y pipe? If so could you help me out i never built one before. its for my 87 camaro. Any help would be apreciated. Thank you.

Does anybody know how to build a y pipe? If so could you tell me how? And if you would have pictures for me to see. The only reason im asking is because im doing all the work on my camaro myself,so that way im getting my daughter in on the action and she can say i helped build that!!

Could use some explanation, a Y pipe is usually associated with single exhaust as a means of connecting the cylinder bank opposite that which aligns with the exhaust pipe to that exhaust pipe. Is this what you're doing?

If so the next question is why are you building a pipe you can buy, is this a larger diameter or does it have to route differently than the OEM piece?

Are you equipped with a welder and some metal cutting power saw or grinder?
