I have a 1930 Model A and I used the roof off of an old station wagon in the junk yard. It already had the ribs, and welded right in.

Cool

Steering box = pinto or mustang rack and pinion as for the rear end check out the newer (95 and up) 8.8" rear end. The 5.0 models come with 5 bolt hubs and disc brakes, are still cheap in th wrecking yards and are narrow. They should also be strong enough because they use the same 8.8" in the pickup line.

I have a 36 5 window that I am installing a moonroof out of a Honda civic in . The contour is real close. Im not done yet so I may run into problems yet.As for a rearend I installed a 78 corvette rearend that went in very nicely.

Thumbs up

Im doing the exact same scenario, only on a 35 which is basically the same as your car except for the grille. I have looked around and have discovered that the ribs which are the supporting system for the sheetmetal are the most important part of this problem. If you fabricate them properly and at the right angle, the sheet metal will automatically lay right. It doesen't matter if the sheet metal came from another car roof or you just buy it, it is thin and will conform to the ribs. I believe therefore, that the ribs are the key element.
