Try minimania in San Jose, Ca. I used to have a site saved in my favorites list that listed british cars for sale in North America, but lost it when my hard drive crashed. Try your search engine. I have a Morris Minor that I plan to do an eng swap in, but cant decide which eng to use. Got every thing from a 1275 midget to a 472 Cad.

the 5.0 is way to heavy to have anything good come out of that, remember the MINI is a very small, leight and well handling car, ive seen a couple of minis over here with motorcycle engines mounted instead if the old heavy 1275, I have a magazine with a guy whove built the ultimate mini in my wiew, a 1300 cc Suzuky Hayabusa engine with a garett Turbo charger, it puts down 172 HP @ 9600 rpm without the turbo and at 12 psi of boost the FWHP was 315..

you would need arround 700 HP in a mustang to match that, They wrote that the only thing that came close was a rocket propelled roller skate.

i guess what i am trying to say is that a project should be ballanced and driveable whan you are done,
