Help!! Frame and body question for mustangs 67-68

Let me tell you what i have.

I have a 68 front end and frame that are good, i also have a 67 cab and back end that is good.

What im wanting to do is take the cab, trunk, rear fenders (the whole car from the front fenders back) and drop it on a 68 frame with the whole front end being 68 also.

Is this possible? Will the 67 part bolt on to the 68 frame?

Im thinking that they are the same car with minor changes in lights, and some other things but not 100% sure if frame and body can be mixed.

67 and 68 Mustangs are basically the same. The grille, lights and vents(fake) on the quarterpanels are basically the difference. The problem with what you want to do is that there is no frame on those cars. They are uni-body. The front end frame members do not bolt on. The inner fenders and frame rails are all welded in place. To replace that section would require alot of very precise measurement, and very skilled welding. Not at all for the inexperienced. Now, if you are just talking about replacing the exterior sheetmetal, fenders, hood, grille and all bolt on stuff, the car won't know the difference. They will all fit right on. The 68 does have side marker lights that 67 does not.

Hope this helps.
