help with gear ratio selection

I am running a 80 malibu it currently has:
flat top 350 9.5 to 1
294s magnum cam
strikeforce 210cc runner 64cc heads
victor jr intake and 650 double pumper
350 turbo with a 3000 stall.
I am in the process of assembling a ford 9 inch for it and am looking for gearing suggestions for a good street/strip car . I am considering 3.89 gearing but what will work well with the 294s cam and my set up. I currently have 3.42 gears and it runs mid 12's, but I am looking for more. I am shifting a 6k. I am running 29x10x15's in the rear. Any help would be appreciated

With the big 29" diameter rear tire, I don't think you'll see as much change as you would like from just going to a 3.89 gear from the 3.42 you have now, likely only a tenth or two in the 1/4. I'd go 4.11 at least, and really 4.30 or 4.56 unless you really don't want to give up too much rpm for street driving. 4.30 would be my choice.

I would use 3.08s with a 2.75 first gear in the Turbo 350...
