help with GM engine swap
I have a 1972 Chevy C/10(350) and the crank is warped in it. Instead of rebuilding the 350 I want to put a 400c.i.d/TH400 into it. The 400 I have is in a 1976 Pontiac Grand Le Mans. Will this engine work and what conversions do I need. Where should I look for these conversions.

kind of a pain of a swap. Why dont you first "swap" your pontiac 400 for a chevy 400 and start there. Otherwise you'll need a new trans (BOP pattern) different motor mounts and probably a bunch of other stuff you will discover along the way-

I agree. If possible I'd stick with a chevy 350 and keep the (what i assume is a) Th-350 tranny. Less power loss to the wheels and they can actually take quite some power through them.
Just my two pennies though.
