Post HELP!!!! I need a Computer lesson

I must have a brain fart going on but for the life of me I forgot how to do this. I have a 2 page text file and want to save it as either a JPG, GIF, or BMP. If I go to file , save as, the proper extension is not there. The reason I want to do this is that I posted 2 new pics to my album of a real decent rotisserie that I found in some of my files. It is a simple adjustable rotisserie with wheels. I save it in my files in another place because I was going to build it. Well I would like to post it in my album along with the 2 pics. Somebody must know how to do this.

The only way i know how to do it is with a screen capture utility, you can download a demo of "SnagIt" here.....http://www.techsmith.com/freetrials.asp
That should help you out for now.

if you are on windows you can open the text file nice and pretty so you can see the entire page on your screen and press 'crtl printscreen' then open your favorite graphics editor and select file->new, then edit->paste. This should copy the image out of your clip board and into the graphics prog. You can even do it with the paint program in start->programs->accessories->paint

327...Thank so much. Now all I have to do is upload them. I did find out though that it is Alt / Print screen instead of the Ctrl. But it did work great and I learned something to pass on. Thanks.

No problems. Love the pic of your rotisserie with the disk brakes welded on

Also if you want to take a capture of the whole page at once but it wont fit, you can increase your screen resolution by right clicking on the empty desktop and selecting properties->settings and then moving the screen resolution slider to the highest it will go (depending on your version of windows). Its a cheap way of getting more on the screen for the capture. Then just set it back after if you dont like the microscopic fonts

The snagit prog has some cool features that will let you take captures in specific windows and it will scroll the windows for while it captures. At least it did the last time I saw it.
