Help Identifying a Chevy Engine
Are you sure the numbers are V1101FSF because I can't find the suffix code FSF. They have FGF listed as a 1978-1980 305. CEJ122607 could be a crate or counter engine produced 12/26/2007. Look on the flange where the transmission bolts to for some more casting numbers. Look for a 6-8 digit number on the passenger side. Also look for a casting date on the driver's side. It will be a letter followed by three numbers.
