Help: Installed height of valve springs questions

I am putting 1999 GT40P heads on my 1995 Mustang 5.0..

I have a set of Comp Cams valve springs that were on a set heads that never got used.. My question is about, installed height and coil bind..

The exhasut valves retainer sets .103 lower then the intake so it compresses the spring way too much, it also looks like the Intake side is compressed a lil bit to much as well..

GT40P valve spring specs:
Stock- 1.83 Installed height on intake, 1.66 installed height on exhaust.

My new springs not installed are 2.01" tall x 1.49" O.D

Installed the springs and this what i get

Installed Intake height 1.76"
Installed Exhaust height 1.66" (had to use intake valve retainers to get it up that much)

I thought i was goin to have to shim these but it turn out to be the other way around..

i have no way to check coil bind right now but it looks as if there isnt much room to play.

So should i get new locks that will add .050" to the installed height or crane retainers that add .102"? Or both and some shims just in case?

When i used to work at a machine shop, some people would use Chevy intake retainers on the fords for a higher installed height on aftermarket springs.. So would chevy retainers give me the extra .100" i need

Without knowing the specs on the Comp springs it is impossible to know what the installed height should be without testing the springs on a tester to find out their pressure. I wouldn't be using the stock Ford two piece retainers on anything performance either.

What is the target installed height for this spring??

I think you are going to need a combo of the Crane retainers and -.050" and +.050" locks to get it right on both valves because of the long tip length in the exhaust valve but beware of interference possibilities with self guided rockers if you are using them.

target height is supposed to be 1.80" to 1.84" with 110+ seat pressure with the valve closed..

these springs were bought for another SBF 302 head that was built for the exact same setup i am running..

The difference is the other heads have manley valves so they dont have the staggered exhaust/ intake valve heights.
