help with kill switch

Ok so I've asked this question before but didn't get the answer I wanted.What Id like to know is what is the easiest way to install a kill switch in my car,something with just a wire&toggle switch.I have an 83 monte carlo thanx

just cut the coil power wire and make the wires longer to your switch

How do I tell which one that is?I HAVE AN AC DELCO electronic ignition distributor

where is the coil is it on top of the cap or bolted somewhere on the intake or fire wall and a plug wire ran to the center of the cap? either way if you look on the distributer cap if the coil is on the top of the cap, it will be labled on the cap one will say tack and one will say batt cut the batt and run it to your switch. if you have an external coil on some they are labled and one will have + cut that one and run it to your switch, others will have like a pink and some other color cut the pink and run your switch from their

just toggle the 12v to the distributor BATT terminal

simple.

same as shutting key switch off

If anyone wants a diagram to a kill switch that can act as a theft prevention device, let me know. I don't know how to load pics on here so pm your email address.
I do relay wiring drawings for the fun of it sometimes, I can pretty much come up with anything you can imagine.

You guys probably already had this stuff figured out 20yrs ago though.

83 monte carlo brown wire under steering column neutral safety switch - input to start get it now
