Help me with a AOD

Ok, this is my first time, so be patient. Although i have a lot of Hot Rod experience, about 99% has been Chevrolet. Two years ago I did my first ford in a ford project, and because everyone went wild over the 302 motor, I might now be hooked. My problem is this - the car we built was bought as a given up on project of someone else's. it came with a 302 and a C-4 trans. and a 4:11 gear. there in lies the problem. although i have a 3:70 ready to go, i am loving the 4:11, after we get where we are going. Someone help me here. what is needed to install a ford AOD and can it be done "stand alone" or does it need some sort of electronics? the motor in question is out of a 82 Lincoln. someone tell me something!

The AOD is non-electronic and only needs the proper Throttle Valve cable hookup.

You will need the correct flywheel for the AOD. Different offset for the torque converter. Double check the balance weight size and position in relation to the current flywheel. C4 and AOD have the same output spline so slip yoke will work. Make sure that the driveshaft has 1" of slip.
The Lokar TV cable setup is the easiest way to go for retrofit install.
