[78 monte]

OK, as many have read,in my other post. I found a crack in the rear half of my frame on the monte.
I'm trying to decide what I want to do.I'm considering backhalfing it and putting a narrowed Dana 60 or 9"Ford and lader bars in it.Not to extreme but a 12" tire(or slick)would be nice(No Stoned not a drag car!!! LOL)
My other options are to buy another body.I'm looking at an old 61-2 Volvo set up for a small block automatic.That I can dump my motor and tranny in.
I'm not sure,what to do.I thought of pulling my motor,tranny,wheels and tires.And selling my exhuast.
Problem is the rest of the car.I can't just junk it.Its been painted(not the best but looks good in wax),I've put a new windshield and side window in it.All new brakes,lines,master cylinder and countless other small crap.
Problem is tubbing is gonna be an arm and a leg and someone else has to do the work,cause I can't weld(or measure LOL).
Anyone have a ballpark I'd be looking at for a ladder bar chassis backhalf and price on narrowing a used 9"??? I may have a guy who could weld it reasonably and can prolly get a 9" used from a freind.

If the rest of your frame is questionable, I'd think it was time to cut bait or find another Monte you can transfer to.
