Help me decide on color and wheels please!

The body work is nearly complete on my 48 chevy 2 door sedan. All stock trim and emblems will be used on the car. At first I wanted to go with black paint and stick to the resto-rod style with either california smoothies and wide whites or black steelies with chrome dog dish style caps and wide whites. Now I am kind of second guessing the style on this car and am thinking about doing a mild custom color with some modern looking larger diameter wheels. Here is a picture of almost exactly how mine was going to look. Any suggestions guys? Thanks!

Dude, that is a beautiful car. I can understand not wanting something that someone else has, but that car is nice. Something to think about- are there any other 48s in your area?

I really do like that car also, it is just a huge decision and everything has to work together for the style. No other cars like mine in this area that I have seen. I really do like the stockish sublte look but then lowered with a nice stance and a v8.

There you go,lol. You might look in some "Rod and Custom" mags and websites for some ideas but that is a great look. A good website to check out is www.killbillet.com They are more into suede than paint but you might get some more ideas. Good Luck!

How about just leaving it alone.....it's a beautiful original Chevy. If you want to change something then upgrade the engine, trans and suspension.

One thing no one here can do is give you a color or what kind of wheels you are going to like. We can show you pictures of cars we like or how we like them, but will you.

Give us a look, a color a style then we can give you more ideas than you can handle.

I think its nice the way it is, but maybe try a blue color or another dark color besides black.

I think those tire/wheels (in the picture) look fine unless you were going wild on the paint. HOK has some awesome dark colors in their Shimrin 2 series, especially on their Formula Categories. To me any deep, dark color would do besides black. Blue, green or red.

I just checked out that website. I love it !!

I could be there for days looking at all those cars cause I've got "dial-up" service.

High speed service is on my Wish List this year !!

Ok thanks guys, I will say another color I LOVE is candy brandy wine with a vlack base coat! Think that would go with this body style? Is there a program where a guy can put a picture of a car up and change wheels and colors?
