help me i am losing my mind
 

i purchased a started part # 32003 from auto zone the application is a chevy 350 in a 66 nova i instaled the part i got it to crank over and run twice then on the third time i got a click i got under it looked and can see the bedix hitting the fly wheel i have tried shims on luck it was hit and mis i s it an elec. problem i bench tested the starter and it kicks out all the way and spins freely what is up help

Well this is just an idea.. mabee they gave you the wrong starter. ones for standard and for automatic are different but will bolt up.. call a different autozone and check part #. just an idea. no electrical problem..
