Don't try to make a Manifold gasket for one. I bought a new one cheap on Evilbay & had to swap the manifold. Almost fully charged & phwwwwfff, I new what the sound was. Had to clean all the lines, evaporator, condenser, new dryer then go buy the correct gasket & Vac it all down again.

ive never seen a 508 with the ports exiting between the mounting ears. alo, take a look at the mounts, and the physical size of the compressor. seems to be smaller than the 508.

is it just a different type of 508? like i said, ive only seen them with the square ears and the ports exiting at the rear of the compressor.

There are a few thousand different configurations of the 508. It was so widely used that there are all kinds of manifold setups. That one looks kinda like Japanese car configuration. Many of the early Hondas had that type of mount and manifold.
