We need more info on the way it runs. What do you mean by not running on it's own,do you have to feed fuel into it to keep it running? If it has a knock, and you got for 2 bills, then a rebuild is probably on the menu for today. Drain the oil,and check for particles that may flow out, also cut open your oil filter if you can, check for metal shavings in it.

a nice muscle car needs low end and a slight stall. like a 1900-2200 stall. a GM HEI ignition unit. a 600 holley vac sec(used very cheap like $25). a sum-1103 cam. or spring for the XE268,springs ,and build 9.5:1 for that combo. use a performer or RPM DP intake. add glasspacks or cheapo turbo's dual exhaust, it will be a fun car.

you can stay under a 3K bugdet and lay tons of rubber!

vortec heads from summit prepared with springs are $650. everytime i see that in the catalog i stop. one time im gonna bite!

i screwed the dog here! i didnt even register that this a 1991 camaro! i have responded to a number of these posts. please pardon the error. disregaurd this post, unless your building something carburated.
