Help Needed

I'm entering my truck in the World of Wheels in a couple of weeks and I need some help and direction in making a show sign for it. I have photoshop 7 but i'm not very experienced. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I agree, you kind of need a really good plan, maybe a theme based on color, year of car and be very wary of using any Ford logos if it is a T bucket like above in your avatar. Even the radiator emblem is trademarked.

You need to know what dimensions the sign will be and most likely it will be on some kind of board or in a frame, I wouldn't go higher than 20X30in. It starts getting real expensive, most stores offer this print and it can be put under glass or laminated to a styro backing.

You'll need some hi res pics, a few custom font's that will enlarge, adobe has some hi res font downloads at the exchange on adobe's website. Most open type fonts will be fine enlarged, true tpe are a bit different.

Adobe 7 kinda limits you in a few ways to get really creative, but will work.

Drop a message in about your needs and what you'd like on a board and the guys will surely help.

here some info.

The truck is the 1929 Murray Bodied Ford. Its is on my site, I just want to do the basic layout. I'll include a pic. I had a copy of one from the web in the same styling I wanted nothing to fancy. the trucks name is Spike. I don't know if this is a start.

I do know where there are good ones out there but almost anything can be done in photoshop if you have the right tools to play with, even a novice like myself can do stuff I'm kinda surprised at, if you do have a picture of what the idea looked like, many will jump in on idea's but looking at your journal, it's easy to say that only a few colors will work and possibly a beach scene since it has the tones of the shore, the sand and water are almost just right but that's right out of my head for this second, i do like the shot with it on the checkered floor too.
