As far as gears go 3.55 was the exact gear I was thinking about using ... What exactly makes turbo cars run better on a lower numerical number

One word....
LOAD
456 gear means in boost quick, and shift......not exactly optimum for building or using boost....
355 gear means its going to load the turbo as the motor builds rpm.....and keep building boost for a longer time.....shift....rpm drops.....back into a longer window of boost.

I think if I had this car,I would change out the turbo 350 when I did the converter. something a lot stronger to take the daily torque. This is going to be expensive

Yah, when its all said and done it will likely be a very expensive TH350 to live behind as much power as this is or could make......Ida done a built Glide myself......that motor set on kill should be ridiculous......
